They are also the more realistic looking type of the two types of synthetic hair. However, Kanekalon-based synthetic hair extensions tend to matte sooner if not taken good care of.

Synthetic hair extensions are mostly used for weaving, braiding, and for cornrows. Most people choose synthetic hair extensions over human hair extensions because it is cheaper and its durability when used in braiding and cornrows. However, it normally doesn’t last a long time when used in weaving and tends to depend on the quality of the synthetic hair extensions selected.
